Regular rubber gearpumps with linear or spiral design or specialty gearpumps with herringbone design are available as autonomous machines or in conjunction with extruders (extruders are available from screw diameter 30 mm to 180 mm). The available volume starts from 10 cc volume ( normally for an output of 10 kgs/h) up to 2000 cc volume (2500kgs/h) . Gearpumps are commonly used for elastomer compound screening ( hot or cold) , for preforming or post mixing duties or as a retrofit for improving existing extrusion lines, by increasing accuracy and by stabilizing pressure at higher outputs.
